The OMR Tech Loft
The client worked from home full-time, on a stretch of OMR that never really goes quiet, and every video call came with a faint hum of traffic underneath it. What he wanted wasn't complicated: a study that didn't feel like an extension of the office, and windows that let in light without the noise that usually came with it.
We sank the study a half-level below the main living floor and gave it a single north-facing window, angled away from the road. It's the quietest room in the house now, and the light through that one window stays even for most of the working day, no blinds needed, no traffic underneath the calls.
